Best Wishes at Year's End

I am pausing the blog research this week to enjoy the company of family and friends. The 2026 year will kick off with a guest blog you don’t want to miss. If you have ever been surprised by a plant whose label said three feet in height and now it towers over your home, there is an explanation forthcoming. Tony Avent, the renowned owner of Plant Delights Nursery at Juniper Level Botanical Garden (Raleigh, NC) wrote “Lies, Damn Lies, and Plant Labels” to educate us. It is a fascinating read, and I look forward to sharing it with you.

I want to thank you, my readers and supporters, for another year of friendship and encouragement. Many of you know that I have been working on a gardening book for years. I hope to have an announcement in that regard within the next few weeks.

However you choose to celebrate this holiday season, may you be happy and healthy, may your gardens grow lush and beautiful, and may the deer skip your Hostas.
